This is the engineer shoulder bag XS, created in collaboration with Good Postage, a stationery shop based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
The engineer shoulder bag is a piece that embodies The Superior Labor’s approach to craftsmanship, and is something we consider to be our “beginning.”
The body is made from No.4 Japanese canvas, paired with metal fittings produced by a foundry in downtown Tokyo. The leather is domestically sourced vegetable-tanned leather, tanned using tannin extracted from mimosa bark.
Every step of the process—from sewing and painting to washing and final assembly—is carried out carefully by hand.
The shoulder strap is detachable, allowing it to be used in different ways depending on the occasion.
The front features an original graphic print combining the leather tools we use in our daily work at TSL with fountain pens and ink that represent Good Postage.
This special model was created through a shared appreciation for craftsmanship and the act of writing.

Leather goods
- The leather we use is natural leather. We do not use hides with damage that could lead to tears or splits, but scars and wrinkles already in the leather are kept as a characteristic of the material. Color, thickness, and texture also vary from piece to piece, even in the same leather.

Canvas products
- Painted areas may transfer color if rubbed or exposed to water. Please take care.
Products using brass
- Because of the nature of brass, some areas may look dull from the making process.
- We use solid brass, which develops a patina with use. Please enjoy this as part of how the material ages.
- To remove tarnish from brass, use a silver polishing cloth. Please try it on an inconspicuous area first.
